Just juggling kids, work and the many aspects of home life. I'll be honest - I've never been a fan of these long Summer breaks and wish it were shorter. I feel like there is only so much "Summering" I can do...lol. Maybe it's because I don't like the heat and it makes things feel more intense and the days more grueling. I know many people get the blues in Winter, but mine is the opposite with Summer blues. Growing up in South Africa, we had 6 weeks off at the end of the school year in December, and I'm not sure whether I liked that either lol. It was never too hot though, and we went to the beach a lot with family, so that left me with fond memories.

As far as what's going on with my art -- I'm making a some strategic moves to really get my business growing & moving forward a bit more. It's just a side hustle right now, but who knows what it could grow into. I'll share updates to my Instagram as I go along. I'm gearing up to launch some new artwork/prints and I'm really excited to share it!
What are your Summer feelings? Either way, I hope you're well. :)
Logging off for now,
- Tina

P.S Sorry I don't have any pics, my computer is being weird and wouldn't let me upload.

Life Lately & April Moments

https://www.tinaaguilarart.net/blog/life-lately-april-moments

https://www.tinaaguilarart.net/blog/life-lately-april-moments#comments

Uncategorized

Coffee & Tea House Moment Well, hello May. My kids also both had fun sports games & band competition performance, and it's just so cool to see them grow.
That picture to the right is of a cozy, calm moment in one of my favorite spots to just go and work or sip on a yummy beverage while reading. I even made a new friend at the Coffee Shop (which was my favorite moment from this past week). She was reading too, and so we couldn't help but start chatting with each other about our reads. :) I love connecting with people in real life, it's good for the soul.
Anywho, it's the beginning of a new week, and well...a new month! I'm excited to see what May holds. I hope it holds all good things for you. I've been on a medication that has had terrible side effects, one of them being major fatigue. Sooo that's slowed me down some. But anyway, baby steps!
One thing I'm pretty excited to do though, is to vlog about my art studio/set up process. I'll be sharing more on that soon. Okay, back to getting some work done! I hope you all have a wonderful rest of your Monday, and that it's filled with joyful little moments.

Much love,
Tina Aguilar

An Hour Lost, but Beauty Gained.

https://www.tinaaguilarart.net/blog/an-hour-lost-but-beauty-gained

https://www.tinaaguilarart.net/blog/an-hour-lost-but-beauty-gained#comments

Uncategorized

Hello friends,I think I'm having a harder time with losing that one hour with daylight savings, are you? I'll be honest, there is not much to look at in North Texas, and our landscape is pretty flat. I find myself lacking inspiration at times as an artist because I'm so visual, and grew up around mountains and ocean. But, there is beauty everywhere if you choose to see it. I've really started diving into gardening the last few years and if I'm being honest, have grown quite the "obsession" with all things plants. It helps to keep me inspired and surrounded with beauty and joy! Call me a plant Mom, if you will. :) I keep driving by Farmer's Markets and nurseries looking out for those colorful blooms. I guess I just need to be patient.

As we journey into this new week, I hope you seek and find moments of beauty and joy to inspire you in whatever your days may look like. Each day is different, and as I like to say....life is a canvas given to us by God, the ultimate Creator.
