Goodbye Summer, What I'm creating for Fall...

Well, almost goodbye to Summer...:) We are not quite there yet here in Texas, but one can hope! It's still in the 3 digit temps. I am ready to feel a cool breeze and to throw on my Fall sweaters!  
Regardless of temps, September is just around the corner and it's the beginning of the most exciting time of year for me! Transitioning to a new season brings new inspiration for new artwork. I have been planning and thinking through a new upcoming art print collection, as well as tutorials for the Fall/Winter months - and I cannot wait to share more with you all as the process moves along. I won't reveal it quite yet, as it is still in the works, but you can find behind the scenes updates here and in my Instagram stories. 
What are you excited about as we head into a new season? I do hope it greets you with warmth and comfort, and that much inspiration to create meets you! Here are a few ideas that come to mind when I think of entering into Fall:
- cozy atmosphere (warm lighting, fireplace, books, hot beverages, delicious scents)
- warm color palette (browns, deep yellows, plum/purples, darker blues & greens)
- textures & patterns (gingham, plaid, fuzzy, soft etc.)
- nature changing (leaves turning, warm colors, crisp cooler air, natural scents)

I encourage you to draw/paint & play around with some of these ideas and see what you come up with! Leisurely creating is such a good way to slow down and be in the moment, and so good for the soul.
