Well, I'm late to the game...because apparently July is World Watercolor Month?? How did I miss this? Better late than never, I guess. So to celebrate this wonderful Watercolor Month....here are my FAVORITE Watercolor techniques & my go-to Brushes: Techniques: - Layering - just looooveee the transparent nature of watercolor and that I get to layer colors on top of each other. - Scumbling - I literally use this technique in every single painting. I feel like it's a Watercolor Hack technique. So handy with landscape & nature. - Lifting - so helpful to be able to lift paint when needed. You can't really do that with any other paint. Honestly I love it all, but those are my top 3! Brushes: - Mop Brush - can't live without it. It holds water the best and is my flat wash pro helper - Round Brush - it's just a must have and works well for techniques like scumbling - Fine Tip Round Brush - I love my little details so this brush is absolutely needed. Well, that's it! I couldn't let the month end without acknowledging World Watercolor Month and the fact that it exists. All the hearts. Bye for now, friends!
